A friend of mine sent me this article in the Sunday New York Times magazine. I took some time to absorb it and I will probably refer to it from time to time—like rereading a beloved novel. It is an insightful piece and shows both sides but if there is anything you can take away from this, it’s the idea of being present with your child. Focus on what he/she can do and help him/her reach their potential. You’ll spend more time enjoying your child and being a great parent.
